The historic former cold storage facility was completely renovated by Trockland and is now home to the workspace provider Techspace.
Built at the end of the 19th century, the former ice storage facility was one of the first of its kind in Europe and symbolized the city’s thriving industry. Today, redesigned as an inspiring workplace for scaling tech teams—featuring a members’ lounge, café, meeting rooms, and event space—the Eiswerk’s functional yet characterful design is home to some of Berlin’s most exciting tech companies.
The T50 frameless all-glass partition system was used to acoustically separate the rooms. The glass panels are secured at the top and bottom with narrow 27 mm aluminum profiles.
In addition to its use in modern buildings with transparent architecture, the T50 all-glass partition is also suitable for room division in renovated or historic properties. Office units can thus be separated in an almost weightless manner. Load-bearing elements are reduced to a minimum, and the glass surfaces allow the existing room architecture to shine through. In an industrial style, the system is also available as the T50 Loft.
