In designing the customer-facing areas, special emphasis was placed on a layout and spatial planning that meet customers’ expectations of
a modern savings bank. The advisory and service areas, in particular, have undergone significant changes following the renovation.
At several service points, staff handle small and straightforward requests from savings bank customers. Sixteen modern consultation rooms have been set up for client consultations, where discussions can take place in a personal and discreet atmosphere.
The first floor has also been modernized—it houses the workstations and eight additional consultation rooms for employees from the Private Banking and Corporate Clients departments, as well as the Executive Board area.

The spacious self-service area, featuring a total of six ATMs, three statement printers, three self-service terminals, and a coin roll dispenser, has been integrated into the passageway between Friedrichstraße and Wolfsthalplatz and is available to customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The customer lobby is a prime example of a successful combination of a forward-looking branch concept with modern technology on the one
hand, and personalized advice with a personal touch and familiar contacts on the other. More than 100 employees from the branch, the Private Banking department, and the Corporate Clients department are on hand at the location to assist customers with advice and support. They are supported by approximately 40 specialists in the areas of securities, insurance, real estate, and construction financing. Personal connection and expert advice combined in a modern setting in the heart of the city.
And for those who wish to conduct their banking transactions outside of regular business hours, Sparkasse offers telephone and online banking, and even video consultations from the comfort of home.
