Since 1922, Goldbach and Kirchner have evolved from traditional craft workshops into a modern provider of comprehensive interior design solutions. From the patented “Ruck-Zuck” attic staircase and innovative partition and cabinet systems to the merger of the two companies, a strong blend of experience and innovation has emerged.
Today, Goldbach Kirchner stands for high-quality interior design concepts, in-house production and logistics expertise, and networked Industry 4.0 manufacturing, thereby combining tradition with future-oriented technology.

Establishment of a state-of-the-art production line for the mass production of custom furniture starting from a batch size of one. The integration of the two production sites and extensive process optimization ensure that Germany remains a key production location.
Goldbach Kirchner is taking over the factory premises of System Möbel Dessau GmbH in Dessau, the city of the Bauhaus. This will expand the company’s production space by 15,000 square meters.

Initially, the freight forwarding company primarily focused on transporting its own products throughout Germany and, to a lesser extent, to Switzerland and Austria. Today, its fleet of nearly 30 trucks also serves many other customers and has specialized in transporting equipment for manufacturing, construction, and the glass industry.
In 2006, the two companies finally merged to form today’s Goldbach Kirchner raumconcepte GmbH, based in Geiselbach, which specializes in the development and manufacture of high-quality cabinet and partition systems as well as upscale commercial interior design. A large showroom with a view of the production area showcases the company’s capabilities.
The large-scale carpentry firm Kirchner is becoming the new owner of Goldbach RaumConcept GmbH and is relocating the entire company to its Geiselbach site, approximately 20 kilometers north of Aschaffenburg. The partnership between Kirchner Schreinerei Innenausbau GmbH and Goldbach RaumConcept GmbH has created synergies across numerous areas of the business.
Goldbach: The raised-floor and office furniture divisions are being sold. From that point on, Goldbach will focus on the cabinet and partition wall division, which is undergoing continuous development.
Goldbach: A fundamental redesign of the partition walls. The hanging system is replaced with the current clip system. Development of the first aluminum and glass partition walls begins.
Kirchner: Bernd Kirchner has taken over the Kirchner carpentry business, marking the third generation of the family to run the business. Going forward, the company will focus on interior design for the restaurant industry, as well as store and branch fit-outs throughout Germany, Switzerland, and Austria (including Adler Märkte).
Goldbach: Production of partition walls began in 1967. At that time, they consisted of a metal frame filled with glass wool and covered on both sides with particleboard. Computer equipment, office furniture, and wall units were added in the years that followed.
Kirchner: Oswald Kirchner, representing the second generation of the family, takes over the Kirchner Carpentry business and continues to expand production and sales of the “Ruck-Zuck” attic staircase.
Goldbach: The first double floor systems — particularly those made of wood-based materials — are developed and introduced to the market. To this day, these floors make it possible to conceal technical systems such as cables and ventilation systems beneath the floor.
Kirchner: Jacob Kirchner invents the innovative, space-saving, and quick-folding “Ruck-Zuck” attic ladder and has it patented.
Goldbach: The company’s origins date back to 1922, when the Goldbach Lumber and Barrel Wood Factory in Goldbach near Aschaffenburg began manufacturing wooden aircraft propellers and, later, refrigerated display cases.
Kirchner: The Kirchner Carpentry business was founded in the same year. In the early years, founder Jakob Kirchner produced items such as doors, staircases, and coffins in his traditional carpentry shop.
