A forward-looking neighborhood featuring 600 apartments, a senior living facility, and approximately 47,000 square meters of office space is being developed on the Knorr-Bremse campus in northern Munich.
For this project, OPES Immobilien is committed to the highest environmental standards and places great emphasis on energy and resource consumption. This is reflected in every aspect, from the design of the buildings and the use of materials to the construction process, as well as the equipment and operation throughout the entire lifecycle.
The buildings are heated and cooled with virtually zero CO2 emissions, thanks to innovative groundwater heat pumps. The electricity required for this is largely generated by photovoltaic systems installed on the rooftops. This sustainable energy concept underscores OPES Immobilien’s commitment to environmentally friendly and forward-thinking construction.
A particular highlight of the project is the impressive interior design. The spaces occupied by tenant Ascendis Pharma feature an innovative glass partition system. Four-meter-high all-glass walls with single-pane glazing in the T50 system create an open and bright atmosphere. These glass walls add aesthetic appeal while offering transparency and a sense of spaciousness.
The wall surfaces are finished with a matte anti-fingerprint coating, ensuring an easy-to-maintain and durable surface. Solid partition walls in the T10 system provide privacy and functionality. This is complemented by flush-mounted doors that blend seamlessly into the modern and elegant design, creating a harmonious overall look.
