A light installation above the welcoming reception area displays the current number of accident-free days. The foyer in particular, but also the building as a whole, captivate visitors with their intricate interior and lighting design. The workspaces reflect the building’s concept and the company culture: the open-plan design with plenty of glass encourages communication and a sense of togetherness. During the building’s planning, great emphasis was placed on acoustically effective elements to ensure that the existing “open-door policy” could also be implemented structurally. The office areas are carpeted with high-pile carpet, the partition walls between the four-person offices are clad with sonic 10 acoustic panels, and the ceiling has been finished with cellulose acoustic plaster. Despite the many glass elements and the absence of doors in the office area, the acoustic room design ensures a quiet working atmosphere.
The intersection of all three building sections offers not only internal meeting rooms but also small “oases of well-being.” Here, on each of the three floors, the kitchen area invites visitors to stop for a chat, a coffee, and, on the ground floor, a lunch break. A terrace or balconies also adjoin the kitchen areas. They offer a magnificent view of the pond and the company grounds. Both the internal and external meeting rooms are constructed using 100 mm thick, soundproof glass partition systems from Goldbach Kirchner and, through the targeted use of film technology, provide the necessary privacy during meetings.
The overall concept was fully realized by Goldbach Kirchner, including interior finishing, furnishings, and space-defining partition solutions.
