Both established creative agencies and IT specialists appreciate the inspiring work environment among like-minded professionals. Designed by the renowned Darmstadt-based architectural firm Waechter + Waechter, an impressive hybrid timber building rises on the banks of the Neckar River in the Zukunftspark Wohlgelegen.
Built by the Swiss timber construction company Blumer Lehmann, the innovative building offers a workspace for approximately 280 workstations. The modern, plug-and-play-style operational concept creates optimal conditions for startups, creatives, and agile work. Various workspace options are available, such as coworking desks, “private offices,” and a large office unit at an “all-inclusive price.” All you need to bring is your own laptop or PC. In addition to the flexible workspaces, there are stylish communal lounge areas, coffee corners, meeting pods, conference rooms, and a startup workshop.
The interior design was color-coordinated to match the wooden structure. Partition wall systems and glass doors from Goldbach Kirchner were used, specifically the T35 system with double-pane glazing. The delicate glass frames are finished in RAL 1013 Pearl White, harmonizing perfectly with the load-bearing wooden structure. The all-glass doors provide 37 dB of sound insulation. Next to the doors, counter panels with airflow elements are installed.
Thanks to the materials used, which can be sorted by type, reused, and recycled, the partition wall system makes a significant contribution to environmental protection and resource conservation. It meets all criteria for DGNB and LEED building certification, which enhances the sustainability of construction projects.
