Design flexibility with partition wall systems

Room-in-room: maximum design freedom and flexibility

Think tank room systems, meeting rooms, smoking booths, or phone booths — Goldbach Kirchner’s flexible room-in-room concept is called GK SPACES and allows you to place freestanding, enclosed room units in open-plan, communal, or reception areas.

Self-contained, the system requires no connection to walls or ceilings. It thus offers maximum design freedom and flexibility, with all the benefits of Goldbach Kirchner’s proven system partitions. Functional, soundproofed, climate-controlled, and sustainable.

Acoustically shielded, with privacy protection, and climate-controlled

The walls of the room-in-room concept can consist of any partition wall system with double-pane glazing as well as the closed solid-wall system T10.

The integration of sonic 10 acoustic elements is easily possible. All wall thicknesses and the ceiling system are uniformly 100 mm thick, allowing for flexible combinations. Concealed grid slots in the system joints enable the integration of a wide variety of organizational elements. Ventilation, climate control, and lighting are integrated via a specially developed ceiling panel and can be controlled either individually or centrally. Airflow elements are integrated invisibly into the wall.

Depending on requirements, room-in-room solutions can be created using all system components. Acoustically shielded, with privacy protection, and climate-controlled. The system can be freely positioned within the building, can be completely relocated, and thus adapted to new requirements.

GK SPACES are suitable for a wide range of applications

Freely positioned room solutions are suitable, for example, for meeting points, open-plan offices, office cubicles, think tanks, call center booths, consultation booths, modular rooms, phone booths, smoking booths, or meeting rooms.

Room cubes are independent of the building grid. Ventilation and air conditioning are provided via the integrated ceiling panels, and electrification via switch panels or the "Plug & Play" media base, which is integrated into the telescoping partition wall base.

Central retreats for undisturbed communication

A room-in-room system placed in an open-plan space becomes a quiet zone and retreat within an open building structure — sound-absorbing and sound-insulating. Confidential conversations can be held despite the open office layout.

All GK SPACES can be used with their own ceiling elements or as floor-to-ceiling units connected to the building’s ceiling. If space requirements or workflows change, the room system can be completely relocated as needed. Flexible room concepts can thus be implemented quickly and cost-effectively without major structural modifications to the building.
