Carpenter (m/f/d)
“Just a carpenter” is a thing of the past, because few professions have as much to offer as the carpentry trade! The field is constantly evolving and never gets boring: the variety of materials and new machinery is always expanding, and every project has its own unique features and challenges. Creativity is also more central than ever. Every project is unique, and at the end of the day, you can see exactly what you’ve created. Not to mention: The atmosphere in a carpentry shop is something truly special! Here, teamwork is a top priority, and experienced colleagues will pass on their skills to you.
- Training duration: 3 years
If you demonstrate strong academic and on-the-job performance, it is possible to shorten the training period with the approval of the relevant Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the company. - Schedule: 1 year of basic vocational training, followed by 2 years of dual training with us and at the vocational school
Your responsibilities
- You will work with various materials such as wood and mineral-based materials
- Sawing, drilling, milling — you will craft high-quality products ranging from furniture to complete interior fittings
- You will finish surfaces with glazing, varnishing, staining, and oiling
- You’ll learn how to use machines, tools, and technology — from traditional workbenches to CNC
- You’ll be on-site for installation and see how your work is installed at the customer’s location
Your profile
- Completed general secondary education: middle school, secondary school, or high school
- Enjoyment of hands-on work and technology
- Strong performance in mathematics
- Spatial awareness
- Creativity and an eye for aesthetics
